BBOI: Committed investments in Cotabato City reach P1.7B

COTABATO CITY – Investments committed by private investors in Cotabato City have reached P1.7 billion as of the 2nd quarter of 2023.

According to BBOI Chairperson Mohamad Omar Pasigan, these investments will harness the potential of Cotabato City into a smart, sustainable, and inclusive city that will help further accelerate growth in the BARMM.

The booming of investments was due to the exceptional performance of Mayor Bruce D. Matabalao in promoting investments in the city and his invaluable efforts in supporting the Bangsamoro Board of Investments (BBOI- BARMM) in its effort to attract investments in the region. It is also part of the Chief Executive’s mission to propel economic and social transformation in the city in order to provide more jobs and lift more Cotabateños from poverty.

The increase in investments in the city and BARMM being the next investment destinations for both local and foreign investors is also attributed to the advocacy of moral governance by BARMM Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim.

Once fully developed, these investments will provide job opportunities for 1, 100 Cotabateños.
