BARMM attends the AICE 2023 at Dubai, UAE

Cotabato City – The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) represented by Bangsamoro Board of Investments (BBOI) Chairperson Mohamad Omar Pasigan, Member of the Board of Governor Datu Habib S. Ambolodto and Bangsamoro Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) Executive Director Atty. Sukarno A. Abas attended the 9th Annual International Conference and Exhibition 2023 on May 1-3, 2023 at Grand Hyatt Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The theme for this year’s exhibition was Global Trade 2.0: Zones, An Ecosystem of Trust Driving Prosperity. The said event was spearheaded by the World Free Zones Organization (World FZO), a unique global association including members from 139 countries that provide one collective voice representing the interest of free zone stakeholders. Audiences of 1000 participants were present and these were made up of free zone delegations, senior policy makers, global business leaders, multilateral organizations, investors and academics from over 100 countries.

This event was presented as a big opportunity for BARMM to showcase the beauty of our region and the immense potential it holds for investments.

Considering the multidimensional changes that have occurred in economic, social, and technological spheres and their impact on businesses, the expo was an important tool to engage with counterparts and peers internationally, to exchange ideas, share information and have strategic discussions.
